Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How are maternity jeans different to regular jeans? 

    As you would expect, it is the waist band that differentiates your maternity jeans from a regular pair. There are six main waist fittings that determine a maternity fit: Check out our Size and Style Guide to help you find the perfect pair. 

  2. I only recently discovered that I am pregnant, when will I need to start wearing maternity wear? 

    Ask five mums and they will all tell you a different answer! You will usually notice by the end of your first trimester that your body is beginning to change, your clothes will become tighter and you’ll need to think about your maternity wear options. 

  3. I am a petite size / plus size / tall size – can you offer me any real choice? 

    The Just Maternity Jeans complete collection is the result of a long search and selection process through many pregnancy wear manufacturers. Our goal has always been to offer a large selection of choices that we hope will bring you that much desired 'perfect pair of jeans'.  Please let us know if we are falling short of our goal.  

  4. Can you explain maternity sizing? 

    As a rule of thumb, we suggest you purchase your pre-pregnancy size when choosing maternity wear. Each manufacturer has a slightly different interpretation on size! For manufacturers who have sized their garments a little more or less generously, we have provided an advisory to size up or size down. 

  5. Will the item be exactly the same color as displayed on the website? 

    We make every effort to ensure our product photography is true to life. Unfortunately looking at a photograph on two different PC monitors can give you an entirely different colour experience. Zoom in on our products by mousing over the largest product shot and we hope you get as true a picture as anyone could offer. Of course, if you are not entirely satisfied that the products you receive are fairly represented we look forward to hearing from you via enquiries@justmaternityjeans.com.

  6. How do I order from your website? 

    Browse our collection and decide on your perfect pair. Add the item to your shopping cart by selecting a size (and or leg length) and click on Add to Basket and our website will check availability. If the item is in stock it will be added to your basket on the top right of the screen. Continue browsing and add additional products to your basket. You'll see the contents of your basket and total cost on the top right of your screen. Click the cart icon to check out. 

    You'll reach the order screen which allows you to remove items from your basket and change quantities. When you are happy click 'Proceed to Checkout' to pay with your credit or debit card. Click the PayPal icon to pay by PayPal. 

  7. I forgot to include something in an order I placed earlier today. Can I add to it? 

    Sure, simply complete a new order for the additional items. Drop us an email at enquiries@justmaternityjeans.com and we’ll ship your items together. 

  8. Do you have a retail store? 

    Just Maternity Jeans is purely an online store. We are a (growing!) family run business and we strive to be there for our customers and our children in equal measure! Our commitment to customer service is second to none. 

  9. Do you have a secure payment server? What is an SSL Certificate? 

    Just Maternity Jeans provides complete online payment protection. Our SSL certificates support both industry-standard 128-bit (used by all banking infrastructures to safeguard sensitive data) and highgrade 256-bit SSL encryption to secure online transactions. 

    An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a Web site such as JustMaternityJeans.co.uk to visiting browsers and encrypts information for the server via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. A certificate serves as an electronic “passport” that establishes an online entity’s credentials when doing business on the Web. When an Internet user attempts to send confidential information to a Web server, the user’s browser will access the server’s digital certificate and establish a secure connection. 

    When you enter the Just Maternity Jeans payments secured area – where, for example, credit card information, e-mail address or other personal data is collected – our site’s SSL certificate enables the browser and Web server to build a secure, encrypted connection. The SSL “handshake” process, which establishes the secure session, takes place discreetly behind the scenes, but it is always there. 

    A "padlock" icon in the browser’s status bar and the https:// prefix in the URL are the only visible indications of a secure session in progress. 

  10. When will my order be shipped? 

    Unless there is a problem with your order, you will receive an automated email confirming your purchase once payment has been completed. Your item(s) will be dispatched within 48 hours of cleared payment. You will receive a further email to confirm the date and time of dispatch and the estimated arrival date.

  11. Help I haven’t received my order! 

    Very occasionally a parcel will not arrive at its final destination. We make every effort to provide clear labelling and secure packaging to avoid unnecessary delays. In the event that a parcel does not arrive please contact us at enquiries@justmaternityjeans.com, give us the details of your order, and we will follow up with the courier service to try to locate your order.

  12. Can I track my order? 

    Unless there is a problem with your order, you will receive an automated email confirming your purchase once payment has been taken. Your item(s) will be dispatched within 48 hours of cleared payment. You will receive a further email to confirm the date and time of dispatch and the estimated arrival date. We use Royal Mail 48 hour service in the UK, and Royal Mail Small Packet 3- 10 days to Europe.  Rest of world may vary.  If you require tracking, please let us know on the notes of your order and we will advise you of the extra cost.

  13. What is your return policy? Do you provide Exchanges?

    We know what it is like to be pregnant. It's not just your belly that gets bigger - your body changes all over! And we know this can make sizing very difficult. Simply return your item to us within 30 days for a full refund.  We do not currently provide an exchange service.  We endeauvour to refund your return items immediately so that you may reorder the desired size or colour.  This ensures that we have the stock available for shipping straight away.  

  14. How quickly will refunds be processed? 

    Refunds are processed within 48 hours of receipt. You will receive an email to confirm your refund. In the case of refunds, you are advised to wait up to 7 days before reimbursement appears on your account statement. 

  15. Do you provide refunds for shipping and handling? 

    As shipping costs are a direct cost, we are unable to provide a shipping refund in the case of a return item. You will be refunded the total price of goods returned. If you purchased goods at a sale price, you will be refunded the sale price. If you purchased goods at full price that have since gone on sale, you will be refunded the full price paid as long as it is within the 30 day return window. 

  16. How can I provide feedback?

    We'd love you to submit a review of the item you purchased to help other mums-to-be choose the perfect pair – or simply to describe the service you received from us. We already have hundreds of reviews from our UK customers.  Look out for a 'request for feedback' email in your inbox three weeks after you make your purchase or go directly to the product page.  We do reserve the right not to publish every review if it could cause offense.  It is rare that a review is not published.
